811 Fairmount: Dave and Beth Stone

811 Fairmount was the final NSP Project in partnership with the City of Grand Rapids. This was one
of the largest projects Next Step took on, turning a 4-unit property back into a single family home.
This house was also in the historic district, so it was restored to match its original charm and quality,
including: all wood exterior, all wood windows, and a new hand-built railing system to match the
original.

The new proud owners of this home are Dave and Beth Stone, along with their two boys, Eddison
and Henry. After living in the suburbs of Grand Rapids, they felt a call to move into the core city, and
to be a part of what God is doing in Grand Rapids. They are part of a new church plant in the East
Hills Neighborhood, have attended block meetings, and are helping to connect the Mercy Team from
their church to needs in the community. East Hills Neighborhood Association has also partnered

with congress elementary and calls it "We Love Congress". Our community has plans to work on the
elementary building and a garden for the school as well this spring.
