Benefits and Support

At Next Step, we go beyond skills training — we provide the wraparound support and career connections you need to succeed long-term. Our Employment Support Services and Employment Placement Services are automatically included as part of our three core workforce development programs and are only available to enrolled participants.

Support Services

The Pathways to Success employment support services program removes barriers to adult education by providing comprehensive wrap-around support services that enable consistent participation and successful completion of training programs. Understanding that adult learners face multiple challenges beyond the classroom, our program delivers coordinated assistance across critical areas:

  • Housing Support – Temporary coordination/ referral services
  • Transportation Services – Public Transportation passes or assistance upon graduation
  • Additional Support Services – Coordination with case management services to coordinate support and track progress

Our holistic approach ensures that participants can focus on their educational goals while maintaining stability in their daily lives. Through partnerships with community organizations and careful coordination of services, we create a strong foundation for adult learners to succeed in their chosen training programs.

Employment Placement

Throughout programming, our Employment & Community Coordinator helps connect you with real job opportunities. We provide:

  • Resume building and job application help
  • Direct referrals to employer partners
  • Interview prep and coordination
  • Hands-on job readiness coaching in partnership with Goodwill Industries

Most participants are placed into sustainable careers — earning a living wage — within 30 days of completion.

At every step, we’re here to support your journey from learning to earning.
